2011 Meetings and events

CVMC meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month. The location of meetings is established by CVMC volunteers and changes to a different restaurant each month.

Members gather at 6:30 p.m. to enjoy a meal and social time, which is followed by a discussion of club business and the opportunity to share news about our cars or other information of interest to club members.

Rallies are held throughout the year and provide opportunities to enjoy a group Miata drive through the beautiful Virginia countryside. Although the schedule varies, rallies are generally held on the third Saturday of each month, weather permitting.

An observation deck offers excellent views of Charlottesville and the mountains and valleys to the east. We will then head south on SR 20 visiting Sugar Leaf Vineyards and then First Colony Winery. Sugar Leaf is a small establishment nestled in the foothills about .8th of a mile off of SR 730 (access is via a one lane country road mostly gravel). Following our visit to First Colony, we will head to Scottsville for a late lunch at the Amicis Italian Bistro. The menu offers a diverse array of dishes and sandwiches at reasonable prices. We will head east on SR 6 with a final stop at the Byrd Cellars for those who are interested in one more wine tasting opportunity.
